This Nets team wasn’t designed to win with defense. It was built to get buckets. And the Nets’ offense has gone from the best in history to busted.

Last season, behind intermittent appearances from their Big 3, the Nets posted an NBA-record 117.3 Offensive Rating. After Friday’s win over the Pacers, their rating is a wretched 101.0, which ranks 25th in the league.

“At times [the offense] can look bad,” Kevin Durant admitted. “But for the most part I think we’re generating solid shots. We’re still trying to figure out what players, what best position to put different players in, which lineups work the best, where guys should be spaced out on the floor.”
